At A Glo Spa & Salon, we believe beauty is about more than what happens inside our four walls. It’s also about the people we surround ourselves with, the businesses we support, and the communities we’re lucky enough to be part of.
That’s exactly what our recent Sunday Social was all about.
Our A Glo girls headed to Selmer & Stone in Fort Atkinson for a morning of movement, connection, coffee, flowers, and plenty of fun — all while getting to experience some of the amazing local businesses and small-business owners in our community.
Moving Together with Pilates Reformed
We kicked off the morning with a Pilates class from Pilates Reformed. There’s something about getting a group of coworkers together outside of the salon and spa, moving our bodies, laughing together, and trying something new that makes for a pretty great Sunday.
And yes, there may have been some sore muscles afterward. 😉
Building Our Own Açaí Bowls
After working up an appetite, A & B Açaí helped us build our own bowls. Fresh, colorful, and completely customizable, it was the perfect post-Pilates treat — and another opportunity to support a local business while spending time together.
Coffee, Flowers & Community
Of course, no Sunday Social would be complete without coffee.
Christina with Greene Bean Coffee brought the coffee shop experience right to us, giving everyone the chance to grab a drink and enjoy a little caffeine-fueled conversation.
And Belle Cose Florals added the prettiest finishing touch with beautiful bouquets. Because everything is better with flowers. 🌸
Why Supporting Local Matters to Us
Events like this are about so much more than having a fun day together.
Small businesses are built on relationships. They’re owned and operated by people who live in the same communities, raise their families here, volunteer here, and invest their time and energy into making their communities better.
When we choose to support local businesses, we’re helping create a community where those businesses can continue to grow — and where we can continue to connect with one another.
That idea is already a big part of who we are at A Glo. Community over competition isn’t just something we say; it’s part of our culture.
We love celebrating other local businesses, collaborating with our neighbors, and creating opportunities for our team to experience the incredible people and businesses around us.
More Than a Sunday Out
Our Sunday Social was a small example of what can happen when local businesses come together: we move together, eat together, sip coffee together, support one another, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
We’re grateful to Selmer & Stone, Pilates Reformed, A & B Açaí, Greene Bean Coffee, and Belle Cose Florals for being part of our morning and helping us create such a fun experience for our team.
At the end of the day, supporting local is about people.
And we’re pretty lucky to know so many good ones.
